Spin Serpent Hiatus

Spin Serpent will be on hiatus until further notice. We here at Spin Serpent thank everyone who contributed and stuck around with us for the year. A break is sorely needed and it is unfortunate that we must do this. The well has run a bit dry.

Maybe with some time we will recharge our batteries but for now we are on hold.

You crazy kids out there rock!

Thank you.

Spin Serpent Team.

The Fly (1958)

Morning Party People!

Today's creature feature is The Fly. A classic and inspiring movie if your into teleportation and monsters . This movie really struck a nerve with the populace as a whole. It has mad science, Vincent Price and a fly creature just trying to get some sugar. I mean, that is like everything you could ever want.

Welcome to Friday Justice!

Happy Birthday to Spin Serpent!

Happy One year anniversary to Spin Serpent!

(Actually Spin Serpent was created on Feb 5th 2012 but the party starts today.)

It has been a year of fun, trials and more fun. We here at Spin Serpent have worked tirelessly to bring anything connected to monsters, heroes and villains. From Gods to super heroes to villains bent on taking over the world. We have shared videos, articles, reviews and information on  everything connected with the legends new and old. We have covered monsters of all shapes and sizes and brought to light monsters that may even exist in the real world.

It has been a journey and an experience. Let us go back to 5 popular articles that helped shape Spin Serpent into the twisted beauty before you.

Bane Responds to the Super Bowl Black Out

The most interesting thing about Super Bowl 47 was the partial black out during the game. It did seem like an act of super villainy since the Ravens were kicking the 49'ers ass that the Illuminati would throw a glitch in the Matrix so the onslaught would stop.

Well now we know the true culprit was Bane all along. Above he monologues about why he performed such an evil deed during a truly American sport.

Evil knows no bounds.

Martial Arts Vs Zombies

Finally! Someone put two of my favorite things together in a sweet little gory package. Martial Arts Vs Zombies is just what the title dictates.  Two brothers go kung fu crazy on the living dead and pull off some sweet moves in the process. There is even a boss zombie and the brothers must work together to take down the zombie menace.

I would watch a feature length movie of this and throw money at K8KProductions.

(Thanks Shah!)

Game of Thrones The Nights Watch

Season 2 of Game of Thrones will be out on February 19th. So to get your appetite ready they released this little tidbit of the history of the Nights Watch. A chilling little story of what happens at the Wall and why we need to heed the coming winter. There are things older then death and they walk with renewed purpose. Those poor souls who have to guard us from the night. They may be murderers and rapist, but even they fear the white walkers and the ever falling snow and ice. they sharpened their blades and pray to the seven for guidance against the coming white death.

They are the worst of us but they guard us from the worst beyond the wall.

They are the Nights Watch.

Lords of Salem

Hail Doctor Satan!

Um excuse me. I have no idea where that came from. Any who, it looks like Rob Zombie is back to his old tricks again injecting young minds with gooey gooey darkness. I for one welcome my Rob Zombie overlord. The above trailer is to the Lords of Satan.

Hail Doctor Satan!

I just cant seem to stop. It is turning into a nervous tick. A tick triggered by SATAN!

Info dump!

From the singular mind of horror maestro Rob Zombie comes a chilling plunge into a nightmare world where evil runs in the blood. The Lords of Salem tells the tale of Heidi (Sheri Moon Zombie), a radio station DJ living in Salem, Massachusetts, who receives a strange wooden box containing a record, a "gift from the Lords." Heidi listens, and the bizarre sounds within the grooves immediately trigger flashbacks of the town's violent past. Is Heidi going mad, or are the "Lords of Salem" returning for revenge on modern-day Salem?

Superman Unbound

Another animation from the famed DC universe, Superman Unbound will be hitting the small screens May 7th 2013!

A quick run down of what to expect.

Based on the Geoff Johns/Gary Frank 2008 release "Superman: Brainiac," SUPERMAN: UNBOUND finds the horrific force responsible for the destruction of Krypton -- Brainiac descending upon Earth. Brainiac has crossed the universe, collecting cities from interesting planets -- Kandor, included -- and now the all-knowing, ever-evolving android has his sights fixed on Metropolis. Superman must summon all of his physical and intellectual resources to protect his city, the love of his life, and his newly-arrived cousin, Supergirl.

Coming to Blu-ray, DVD, On Demand and For Download via Warner Bros. Home Entertainment on May 7, 2013.

Director: James Tucker

Writers: Gary Frank (comic book), Bob Goodman (screenplay)

Stars: Matt Bomer, Stana Katic, Molly C. Quinn

I really do like the DC animations and if this one has Superman punching things, I am all in. Let us hope it can live up to the Dark Knight Returns part 1 and 2. (More on that later.)

Sympathy for Slender Man

It is often said that there is no evil, only the mis-undestood. Slender Man just might be one of those creatures as this song would dictate.

As seen on io9, the above video is the lighter side to the web created Slender man to give him a bit softer view. Maybe he is simply seen in the wrong light. Maybe we need to give him a chance? I mean what could possibly go wrong with opening our door and letting him i........
